Quick question, are all attacks unlocked at max dodge?
In other words, if I have the max health/dodge cheats on, if I just afked in the 3 dogs fight, for example, would I eventually unlock all the attacks? Understanding the attacks in other phases would take slightly more work, of course.
actions get unlocked only by dodging them or for other special action by getting them, no shortcut untill you will have the full progress file which for now i wait to share because i need to work on bug fixing yet and then share the 0.5 and the full progress file
thanks, it may feels like because this boss it's meant to be hard, but there is always a way or a chance to dodge, attacks were tested one by one, bosses always wait you to be free before start another attack, unless you don't fail in a combo
by funky, I mean that it seems like there’s things rendering on the wrong layer. And the two eyes don’t seem to be viewing the same. And the area that is looking correct is like a small box in the center of my vision. I could try the oculus route and see if the problem stays. Tho.
mm i'm having these troubles in VRchat (watching in a box/borders around) try if something changes using DX11 or 12 but i'm pretty sure steamVR is doing its troubles
I know Yellow Dog has two attacks when giant. A foot stomp and a foot grab, but does he have others? I can't seem to prompt them.
At the end of the giant fight, I hold on the up arrow prompts, but the dogs always end up stepping on me and washing me in the river. Am I supposed to hold or mesh?
you need to go forward from the forward position, if you are distracted you'd be better to mesh but always from the center or forward location, so when the midle wolf jumps you can go far and get to the rope, then you'll have the mesh very fast the QTEkey. the german sheepherd does 3 macro attacks and one of these is looped at the end
Whenever I try to play, I get the red error saying "On mobile the SkyAtmosphere component needs a mesh with a material tagged as IsSky and using the SkyAtmosphere nodes to visualize the Atmosphere"
And basically when I load the level, everything's either almost entirely blue or black, but I can hear everything running in the background
this is a known bug that for some reason happen not on all devices, is your pc made to play games of 2015+ years?
a friend might have found a fix for the red message but i don't get it on my computer anyway, on my laptop yes too, so i'm not sure that message is the only reason

if you see something like the background overlaying everything then it's because UE5 needs latest drivers on the GPU but it depends also on the GPU kind. if this is your case i had this problem on other 2 users, one of them tried it on another computer and it worked.
also, the launch can take some seconds on black screen, time to load important things
download the updated file, i was trying the project luncher export but it given me some trouble or just me not so good at using it, if you download it again you will find just the game file
you must open the first file you find in the archive/folder, the file is the .exe i downloaded the file too and there isn't a project file, if it still open the file TPOTF.exe with unreal engine you should find a way to reset the program windows use to open it but as it is an executable it hasn't sense that it opens it as a project

for some reason the wolf fight just crashes my game every time I try it something about it being out of memory it happens when the wolves start growing is it something about the settings that I have to lower?
Also I don't think that the VR part of this doesn't work at least with Quest 2 the screen always shows up at the bottom for some reason and neither of the buttons seem to work, I also tried to press any key on the keyboard and it doesn't seem to work.
try to deselect dynamic fur and apply, if it still crash try reducing all settings to understand if it's not a real problem of insufficent Vram, extremely intense is the work especially for shadows and foliage.
informations for VR users:
- The integration of the VR is limited only to the menu and visor as camera in battle, (for these level) - GENERAL: Q / Y (gamepad) / triangle / menu (vr controller) -> reset vr poistion in the world - [MENU]: use your controllers, switch between them with triggers and click again with triggers, NOTE!! when you chose a level in level selection, you have 10 seconds to write the key with keyboard after that you need to select a level again (this was made because vr controller input are disabled by default during text typing in text box, (more precisely if a component of the menu is focused with keyboard...)) - IN BATTLE: reselect camera angle, you may need to reset camera rotation during battle if you want to avoid strange rotations when moving your head. - in main angles your movement is multiplicated to allow you to zoom and move around more easly. - WARNING!! Be carefull if you suffer from nausea, when you chose first person views you will face lot of movement

There’s this thing that has existed in UI systems since UI systems have existed. I don’t remember what it’s called. You move an arrow to a box or text and push the left mouse button and it does something (I.E. start a level?) Was it called a button or something?
Is it supposed to be possible to beat the wolves? The "Defend" buttons don't seem to do anything and dodging avoids damage but doesn't take their health away. Or is it only a test fight right now? I beat first boss easy but can't do anything against the wolves.
1 - the wolves level is meant to be hard because is one of last fight in the game storyline 2 - sure they turned out some bugs to fix which will be hopefully all fixed in version 0.4 (the level is huge so it's need many tests) 3 - defends buttons works as parry, you need to find the correct moment to use them. this game is in continue work in progress and i constantly put hands on all levsls to do improvements and fixes
I can finally get to the macro part of the wolf fight (parrying still seems to be too unreliable) but I haven't beaten it yet. I get there with almost full health but haven't unlocked the cheat like I did with Tursby. I guess you also have to win after you reach with over 400. There seem to be a lot of bugs with the macro fight that stop me from beating it, I get stuck in a flattened state even after dodging completely away from a foot and then I just have to restart because I never get up. I think I know what I have to do, eventually an UP prompt shows up and I have to jump up twice then press Z to pick up the whip, but it seems like the UP prompt sometimes gets delayed and I can do nothing, then I get stepped on and I just have to watch all my health go away because there's no escape after.
I know when I have to use the parry. When they kick high, I have to use RB/LB and when they kick low, I have to use RT/LT and when brown wolf kicks I have to press X, but the attack telegraphs aren't readable enough on their own, especially with the high camera angle and my character blocking a lot of the brown wolf's legs. It's much easier to dodge left or right instead but then you get penalized if they kick by distraction building up and sometimes they kick 2 or 3 more times and it becomes undodgeable. I think that there needs to be more visual or audio indications of what attacks are incoming. I think that also maybe it is worth considering moving the location of the prompts from the bottom right. As it is right now, you have to look either at the enemies to see the animations, or the prompts to know what to press; you can't see both at once.
I like a lot of the ideas here and it hits so many of my kinks but I think it needs to be more consistent with the systems to improve the gameplay. Right now is a lot of trial and error.
I know that this game needs improvement, in fact I have solved a lot of problems you also mentioned regarding the level of the 3 dogs; but I work on it alone and in any case you have played version 0.2.55 which dates back to almost a year ago, and I have continued to improve it during this period. however, I would like to avoid putting indicators on the screen that can cover the scene. I placed the indicators in the bottom center and narrowed the bars so there is more space to have everything compacted, as for the parry at least for the next version 0.4 you have to study the opponent's attacks well and have the reflexes very ready, do not despair, it is right that this level is difficult,
in the version 0.4 will be fixed also the progress saving issue which causes gallery and cheats and settings to work strangely
Have tried to give this a go a couple times. Launches into VR, use enter to get past "Press Start", however i have never been able to interact with the screen that shows a Play button, plus, gear, exit. No controller button or trigger seams to do anything on this screen, and no keyboard controls seem to work here.
what vr set do you use? did you tried to map the controller with your vr application? (however you need to use only the trigger in menu, then use gamepad and keyboard in game)
mmm i don't honestly know how to help you, i don't know how your controller works, i'm making the game testing with my HTC vive but i had feedbacks of people managing to use it also for other sets. WAIT are you playing the version 0.2.55 or 0.3/0.3.4? in 0.3+ you don't need vr controllers anymore

Seems vr is having some sort of rendering issue on my end. Not sure what the cause is but everything’s showing in a really funky

do your best, they do it if you are alive+concentrated enough and the first time that the time goes to 0
is there a fast way to unlock all cheats in the cheat section or all moves in the gallery?
buy the full progress save file but i'd suggest to wait for the next version for that

Why are all the enemies disgusting beasts? At least humanoid enemies, even robots is OK.

first person -> right stick button on gamepad or 2 on keyboard

yes, vr is a new thing in but as 3D visor implementation, the game born without VR
you don't need VR controllers for the latest version, while for the 2.55 if i well remember you should need to use the trigger only in the main menu
